Shridevi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SIPS) was established in 2019 with a commitment to providing quality pharmacy education and fostering excellence in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka
The institute offers D.Pharm (60 intake), B.Pharm (100 intake), Pharm.D (30 intake), and M.Pharm programmes with a strong emphasis on academic excellence, practical learning, research, and professional development. Pharm.D students receive extensive clinical training through the 1000-bedded Shridevi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Hospital, enabling them to gain hands-on experience in patient care and clinical pharmacy practice.
This institute is equipped with modern laboratories, a well-stocked library, and an Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC)-approved Animal House to support quality education and research. The institute regularly organizes workshops, seminars, conferences, guest lectures, and co-curricular activities to enhance students’ knowledge and professional skills.

The pharmacy profession is an integral part of the health care system. It is expanding rapidly and setting new trends in education and career opportunities. Today, the position of pharmacist is perhaps one of the most egalitarian of all professions. India’s pharmaceutical sector is growing significantly, and community pharmacies are gaining importance on par with developed countries. These factors have contributed to an increased demand for pharmacists, making India one of the largest health professional groups in the world, with pharmacy as a profession specially trained to deliver pharmaceutical services.
In line with our vision of providing an exciting and challenging learning and research environment, the college offers Diploma and Undergraduate programs in Pharmacy and is planning to start Postgraduate and Pharma D programs. Our institution has a vibrant faculty known for discipline and dedication, preparing young talents to meet the expanding needs of the pharmaceutical sector.
We believe that the purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one. We are committed to instilling strong values in our students so that they remain grounded.
